Installation and glass-tube safety
Brooks specifies installation and startup practices intended to preserve accuracy and prevent glass-tube failure.
- Mount the flowmeter within 6 degrees of true vertical, with the inlet at the bottom and the outlet at the top.
- A bypass arrangement is strongly recommended so the meter can be isolated for cleaning and service.
- Introduce flow slowly to prevent a surge; check scale-to-tube zero alignment before startup and after reassembly.
- Keep the protective sleeve over the glass tube, secure the windows, remain within pressure and temperature limits, and never service the meter while it is pressurized.
Replacement relationship
The Full-View 1100 Series is a Brooks legacy product. Brooks identifies the GT1600 Series as the current family configurable to retrofit Full-View models 1110, 1114, 1140 and 1144. Retrofit selection is configuration-dependent and must match the original meter size, flow capacity, connection size and connection orientation; GT1600 is not an automatic one-for-one substitute based solely on 1110-09H3B1A.
