Installation and glass-tube safety
Brooks' operating instructions impose installation and pressure-safety requirements for Full-View meters.
- Mount the flowmeter within 6 degrees of true vertical, with the inlet at the bottom and outlet at the top.
- Keep the plastic protective sleeve installed on meter sizes 7 through 13 and fasten the meter windows securely.
- Do not exceed the pressure or temperature limits for the configured meter size and materials.
- Avoid pressure and flow surges, and do not service or disassemble the meter while it is pressurized.
Legacy and replacement relationship
Brooks lists the Full-View 1100 Series as legacy equipment. The current GT1600 Series can be configured to retrofit Full-View models, but it is not a universal configuration-independent substitute.
