Installation and glass-tube safety
The Brooks installation manual establishes these family-level requirements for safe use.
- Install vertically, with upward flow from the lower inlet to the upper outlet.
- Avoid pressure and flow surges and never exceed the rating applicable to the installed tube and end fittings.
- Keep the factory protective sleeve over the glass tube on applicable larger meter sizes and secure the meter windows.
- Isolate, depressurize, and drain the meter before servicing or disassembly.
- A bypass arrangement is recommended so the meter can be isolated for cleaning and maintenance.
Replacement relationship
Brooks identifies the GT1600 Series as configurable to retrofit Full-View 1100 Series models including 1110. This is a family-level replacement path, not a universal drop-in substitution: the legacy meter's flow range, scale, connection geometry, materials, pressure rating, and accessories must be matched.
