IPT122
Brooks Instrument 2-Inch Indicating Pressure Transmitter
About this part The Brooks Instrument IPT122 is the pressure-transmitter base model in the 122 Series of stainless-steel indicating pressure instruments for high-purity gas-delivery and semiconductor process systems. It combines local mechanical indication with a configurable analog voltage or current output. IPT122 alone does not define the pressure range, dial units, process connection, or transmitter output; those fields appear in the configured model code
Configurations vary. Verify the exact unit before choosing a replacement.

What Does IPT122 Mean?
IPT122 is segment I of the manufacturer ordering code. A complete configured identifier adds four suffix fields.
Segment Field Interpretation
I Base model IPT122 = pressure transmitter II Pressure range Not specified by IPT122 alone; configured identifiers use a published range code III Units Not specified by IPT122 alone; documented choices include PSI, PSI/Bar, MPa, Bar, and PSI/KGC IV Pressure connection Not specified by IPT122 alone; VM = face-seal male, VSM = face-seal swivel male, VSF = face-seal swivel female, and NPT = 1/4-inch NPT male V Transmitter output Not specified by IPT122 alone; the January 2024 ordering table lists options 1, 3, and 9
January 2024 Transmitter Options
These options appear in the current manufacturer model-code table; the complete configured identifier is required to select one.
Code Output Lead detail
1 0–5 Vdc, floating referenced Specified by transmitter code 3 1–5 Vdc, ground referenced Specified by transmitter code 9 4–20 mA, sourcing 6-foot cable with tinned ends
Service and Installation Notes
Keep the transmitter double-bagged until installation and remove it from the protective bag only in a clean environment. For high-purity installation, maintain at least 1 slpm (0.05 scfm) of inert purge gas; the manual recommends electronic-grade nitrogen. The transmitter is factory calibrated. Field calibration is required only after ZERO or SPAN adjustment or when a different output is needed. Pressure-cycle the electromechanical gauge after shipment or installation to return its linkage to the home position. Annual gauge-cycle testing is recommended to verify smooth operation and the ZERO and SPAN adjustments. Confirm process-material compatibility and check the device regularly for leakage. Remove process pressure and disconnect power before service. Observe electrostatic-discharge precautions when handling internal electronics.
