Brooks Instrument 0154E Four-Channel Secondary Electronics — Record
About this part
UKQ68 is an auction inventory identifier associated with a Brooks Instrument 0154E four-channel secondary-electronics unit; it is not a verified Brooks model or part number. The 0154E supplies power to compatible flow or pressure devices, displays process values, and provides setpoint, blending, valve-override, local/remote, and RS-232 control functions. Brooks has discontinued the 0152/0154 devices and identifies the 0250 Series as their replacement
Configurations vary. Verify the exact unit before choosing a replacement.

Identifier interpretation
The record identifier and the equipment model should remain distinct.
Replacement and software support
Brooks continues to document software support for the legacy equipment while directing new applications to the 0250 Series.
Channel connector pinout
Family-manual pinout for each 15-pin channel connector. Available supply rails and analog functions depend on the ordered electrical configuration.

| 2 | Input | Flow current signal |
| 3 | Output | Current setpoint |
| 4 | — | Not connected |
| 5 | Output | Voltage setpoint |
| 6 | — | Setpoint ground |
| 7 | Output | Valve override |
| 8 | — | Flow-signal ground |
| 9 | — | Reserved |
| 10 | Input | Flow voltage signal |
| 11 | — | Not connected |
| 12 | — | Power ground |
| 13 | Output | +15 Vdc or +24 Vdc |
| 14 | Output | −15 Vdc or not connected |

Configuration and compatibility boundary
The 0154 family was configurable, so the nameplate and rear connections govern service compatibility for an individual unit.
- Confirm the complete Brooks ordering code before selecting cables, replacement electronics, or a power-supply arrangement.
- Verify whether the unit uses the ±15 Vdc or +24 Vdc supply configuration.
- Verify voltage versus current I/O; the optional I/O board is required for current signals.
- The family manual covers thermal mass-flow devices, pressure controllers and meters, Flomega equipment, Smart-series devices, and Quantim products, but the required cable depends on the connected device and interface.
Installation and service notes
Key requirements from the Brooks family manual.
- Do not block the enclosure ventilation openings, including in rack or panel installations.
- For the documented EMC installation, use shielded signal cable with at least 80% overall screening, metal-shielded D-sub connectors, 360-degree shield termination at both ends, and an earth-grounded shield.
- The rear power entry uses two 5 × 20 mm, 2 A time-delay fuses rated for the applied mains voltage.
- Engineering-unit selection changes the displayed unit text; it does not itself perform unit conversion.
- In remote mode, voltage I/O permits the flow value to remain visible on the display, while current I/O displays the remote state without the flow value.
