Brooks Instrument Four-Channel Mass-Flow Readout and Control Unit
About this part
0154CFD2A11A is a configured Brooks Model 0154 microprocessor-based secondary-electronics unit. It supplies power to and provides readout, setpoint, blending, valve-override, and local/remote control functions for as many as four compatible mass-flow or pressure devices. It is a control and display unit rather than a flow meter or mass-flow controller installed directly in the process line
Configurations vary. Verify the exact unit before choosing a replacement.

Configuration boundary
The Model 0154 prefix establishes the four-channel platform, but the installed options must not be inferred solely from the remaining suffix.
Verified base-model meaning0154 identifies the four-channel member of the Brooks 0152/0154 secondary-electronics family.
Configured suffixThe available manufacturer family documents do not publish a reliable decoding for CFD2A11A.
Nameplate-dependent detailsConfirm enclosure style, AC cord, ±15 VDC versus +24 VDC output, and fitted analog I/O board from the unit label and rear-panel hardware.
Functions and operating behavior
Each channel may operate independently or as a master or slave in a blending arrangement.
Valve override can command the connected controller valve open for purge, closed for shutoff, or returned to normal controller operation.
Each channel can be placed in local or remote control independently.
The selected valve-override state is retained across a power cycle.
Changing the displayed engineering-unit text does not itself convert the numerical value; the corresponding full-scale value must be configured correctly.
Compatible Brooks equipment identified in the manual
Compatibility requires the appropriate Brooks interconnection cable and matching electrical configuration.

I/O installation notes
A unit requiring only 0–5 VDC input and output does not require the optional I/O conversion board.
The optional four-channel I/O board converts 0–10 VDC, 0–20 mA, or 4–20 mA signals to and from the internal 0–5 VDC range; each channel can be jumper-configured separately.
For current-loop operation, the flow and setpoint current grounds must be tied to power ground. The high-impedance voltage-signal grounds are not designed to sink current and can produce incorrect readings if used that way.
When non-Brooks cables connect compatible digital mass-flow devices using current I/O, the manual requires channel-connector pins 3 and 5 to be linked at the readout end.
Replacement and retrofit relationship
Brooks no longer offers Models 0152 and 0154 for sale and identifies the 0250 Series as their replacement family.
Four-channel successorModel 0254 is the current four-channel member of the 0250 Series.
Tabletop retrofitBrooks provides instructions for installing a Model 0254 into a tabletop housing previously used by a Model 0152 or 0154.
Applicability limitThe tabletop retrofit instruction does not establish universal mechanical or electrical interchangeability for every 0154 enclosure and configured I/O arrangement.
